Armando Testa
Armando Testa was one of Italy's most influential graphic designers and advertising strategists. Born in 1917 in Turin, he pioneered minimalist and direct advertising in the country.
Testa founded his own advertising studio in 1956, which soon became one of Italy's largest agencies. He created iconic campaigns for brands like Caff. Paulista, Punt e Mes and Peroni, and designed the official poster for the 1960 Rome Olympics.
In the 1980s, Testa focused on painting and posters for cultural and social campaigns. He died in 1992 in Turin, leaving a lasting impact on Italian graphic design and advertising.
